The great thing about them is that they don’t take much time to prepare and they’re wide open for experimenting, and super delicious! Here’s another steak recipe, but this one’s seasoning is a lot more spicy! (*hint hint*)
Mushroom & Garlic Steak with Mashed Potato
Ingredients (serve 2)
2 150-200 gm beef steak
3 medium potatoes
200 ml milk
2 tbs chopped mushroom
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp vinegar
2 tsp steak sauce
1 red onion
1 spring onion
3 tbs olive oil
1 tsp grinded black pepper
salt to taste
Method
Peel the potatoes and cut the into cubes and boil them in salted water and simmer for about 20 minutes, lid on. brush your steak with olive oil and black peppers, while that heat your pan but not too much because it will overcook the sides of your steak. Place the steak and then add the chopped red onions, the mushrooms, and the garlic. After that add the chopped spring onions, and mix the vegetables as you griddle the steak so they’d add a flovour to it. Add the vinegar to have an edgy taste and add 1 tsp of the steak sauce, the steak sauce that I used is a bit sweet and sour, that will balance the vinegar’s taste. The vegetables will cook quicker than the steak so after flipping the steak for about 4-5 minutes place the vegetables on top of the steak, that will pass the seasoning to the steak and will pass heat to the vegetables but it will stop them from getting overcooked, add the steak sauce on top, then you can roast the bottom side to the desired state. Boil the milk and when the potatoes are tender done, dry them out and add the milk the way you like, if you like your mash to be sweet and creamy add the whole milk pot, half of that would make it tender and mashy but still it would taste like potatoes! Enjoy!
