How do you forbid to think? One’s thinking energy is not anyone’s to set rules on nor to own.
To forbid to think, or, to force one to think in a certain pattern is, primarily, changing the nature of the whole process; it becomes intellectual enslaving; mental rape. Believing so results from the lack of self-awareness, and the disregard to one’s status as a limited creature that has no control on the intellectual property of another creature; one is free to think, freely, according to what one chooses to be right and sane.
One may have the power to stop somebody from saying what they think, but they sure know, that they lack the slightest power to forbid them to think; they’re still limited creatures, and they always will be.

in arab world they r thinking to find away to kill thinking in our minds even if they r changing the nature , and they’ve successed by drags & beverage or direct our thinking to certain subjects by using media .. but in the developed world they pay u to think … its politics in the end
Haitham said on Oct 15 07 at 9:26 pmWalaa I think it’s a bit less politics-free. It’s a matter of individuals.
Actually, give it a fair amount of thought, you’d reach to a stage where you blame no one but the individual; how did they become so naive! I really am astonished by the dynamic range of our nature, how we differ from being to another.
Anyway, I don’t want to give the matter more weight but I really find it ironically stupid and I really feel like discussing this concept with myself.

Haitham said on Oct 18 07 at 1:13 amWalaa I think you got the last line the wrong way, you’re more than welcome at anytime but I felt I should justify the reason why I wanted to discuss that issue from the first place since I think it’s stupid. Again, you’re welcome, along with whomever is interested.
Mohammed Mahfood said on Oct 20 07 at 2:56 pmEvery one have his own way of thinking, but their differences in their goals.
I know that some teachers try to force their students to change the way of thinking but in their internal mind they try to achieve their goals.
Free thinking , Nazy thinking , democracy ..anything.
Those all is about to archive their goal.
If you remember (Design 3) look the way he try to force his ideas and the way every student response. Some of them accept to achieve a goal in their mind and some of them give it off with him![]()
Haitham said on Oct 21 07 at 1:28 pmMahfooth! Man you are most welcome!
You know, I really think it’s quite the controversial issue, since we live in a day and age where lots of fundamental points in our way of thinking are based on forcing and stereotyping what to believe in and what not to believe in, or to think of, for that matter.
I don’t mind passing expertise and verdict based on previous knowledge, but to force one to follow those as axioms is just outrageous and offending. It’s simply stripping one’s right to experience and discover. Now here you find dark spots that are worth discovering and exploring, it’s equally worthless to try to examine certain points, for example, in religion it’s prohibited to explore certain issues. It’s happening when you mention evolution; it’s either you’re retarded for not believing in it, or you’re trying to prove that you’re science-oriented and progressive, or you really do believe in it, and that’s different.
In ‘Design 3′, he wasn’t passing his way of thinking, he was just being a jackass.
Mohammed Mahfood said on Oct 21 07 at 9:44 pmWOW you still don’t forgive him until know
Man I think those believes and knowledges ,thoughts no one can blocked it from you, but be aware of the type of the thoughts and knowledge that you receive specially when it comes to religion you deal with something big and sensitive.
I think that no one can but a barriers around our mind to stop it from thinking in a way to receive and evaluate what ever you want and experience it, But only if you put it for your self, like when we have some students with fresh ideas and the teacher say to them stop thinking of that idea they stop, did you think it’s because of the teacher or the person!! They put a stop sign to their mind and named this thoughts as “Forbidden thoughts” also they scare to discuss it with any one.
